About Us

We almost missed this life

For years, we thought owning land and building a life like this just wasn’t in the cards. Now we’re doing it anyway — one project at a time!

How We Got Here

We’re Brian and Tina—empty nesters who spent most of our lives doing what most people do: working, raising kids, and putting dreams on the back burner.

Like a lot of folks, we always talked about “someday.” Someday we’d have some land. Someday we’d build something of our own. Someday we’d slow things down a little.

But as the years went by, someday started to feel like something we might’ve missed.

The One That Almost Got Away

The property we live on now? We almost didn’t get it.

There was a stretch where everything felt like it was falling apart—deals falling through, timing not lining up, and a real sense that this opportunity was slipping away.

For a few days there, we thought it was over. But somehow, it all came back together. And looking back now, that close call changed everything. It made us realize we weren’t willing to sit on the sidelines anymore.

Building It As We Go

Today, we’re building our version of country life on 26 acres in Georgia. That means a little bit of everything. Some things go right. A lot don’t. But we show it all—the wins, the mistakes, and everything in between.

Fixing up an old shop and learning to woodwork.

Raising chickens and living the homestead life.

Improving the property one project at a time.

Tackling projects we’ve never done before.

Why It Matters

This isn’t just about projects. It’s about building something our family can be part of.

We’ve got two grown kids and two granddaughters, and this place has already started becoming a spot where memories are made—running around the yard, helping out with little things, and just being together.

That’s really what this is all about.
